I could really use a response on this. So I took my daughters 70mm bore GX200 block and attempted to put it together today and I kept putting everything together and finding more stuff to grind for clearance. I got that damn piston in the hole 3 times and on the last times I kept slapping the final ring . What am I doing wrong when installing my piston? I watched all your videos. I compressed the rings in the tool, I seated it in the cylinder with assembly lube on the skirts and in the cylinder and each time after the took it apart the last time to grind the cam shaft down it kept hitting the final ring and not going in all the way. THEN last time I went for it the freaking rod bearing popped out of the rod when I smacked it in and I couldn’t get the crank out for some reason so I had to push the piston out again and it got dark and i couldn’t go again safely. What do I need to be doing to make damn sure it goes in the cylinder when I give it that final smack with the end of the hammer like you talk about

That Polaris clutch is probably set up for 2 stroke that are use to 9000rpm need bigger weights for lower rpm engines.

So I race the 225rs and tillotson offered to do the 7500rpm and high compression upgrade. The motor is now blown. Rod shot through the front. From everything I'm seeing it needs to be much leaner and better cooling. I only had 25 hours

It’s interesting, small engine warehouse has 4 versions of this motor for sale, yet they’re all tapered shaft and therefore useless for 780 driver clutches. Yours is standard shaft yet you use a tapered adapter?

Hi. Tell me why the exhaust pipe can heat up to red? I think the problem may be in incorrectly configured valves. I have a predator 212 engine. And the valve clearances are as follows: inlet 0.25 mm, outlet 0.30mm. I also have a lightweight flywheel, a vm22 carburetor and a rev limiter removed. At the same time, I have no problems with starting and the color of the candle is brick.

You said your carb doesn't like mid speeds. Move carb away from the charger some and build like a surg box between the carb and charger. I'm thinking every time a lob goes by the opening it has a break pressure change. Keep up the work. Love watching you guys.

You don't state what "the problem" is in the beginning? What is the cart doing that requires you to do this process?

Ever buy a wide band o2 sensor and tune the carbs? That run you did said on the screen down to 9 which is pretty lean?

As an Old retired greaser I think Kohler just changed the micron size in the oil filter trying to stop all the noise that engine is famous for.

I do not own a mini bike, but the information shared and explained in this channel is excellent. Kudos for not turning into a gatekeeper.

Hey I’m currently putting together my first 2 stroker kit bikes and I started with my 10 year old daughters engine which is just the engine that came stock on my bike. I took it apart thinking it was a 196 like all of them and it’s a 70mm bore but with GX200 specs on the wrist pins and rod and flywheel. So anyway I’m installing everything to test fit and the piston was flopping around in the cylinder 😂. Regardless of that I found that the stroker crank was contacting the bottom of the piston and the rod cap bolts were contacting the engine case wall opposite of the jug. Basically it only had the ears clearanced. So I got busy with my grinder wheel taking all the black off of it and basically making everything shiny. I had to grind under the cylinder right where the rod passes by because it was contacting that too somehow. Crazy ish bro. Fun to play around and make it yours though. Knowing that my kid is gonna love the hell out of her custom painted Teal and black stretched MM80 with a bad ass engine

no increase in hp and loss in torque makes a lot of sense with heavier valve springs. Valve springs robs a significant amount of power. at 5000rpm, the engine has to push on a valve spring 41 times per second. Anything that involves the engine doing extra labor 41 times per second is going to mean losing a significant amount of output power.
